Genesis 12
God promised Abram a great nation if he moved, so he set off with his wife, Sarai and nephew, Lot. When a famine struck, Sarai and Abram pretended to be brother and sister out of fear of how the Egyptians would react and their ruse worked well for them but not so for Pharaoh and his household who suffered serious diseases as a result. When he found out, Pharaoh sent Abram and his family away with all they had acquired while in Egypt.
