Genesis 3

God told Adam and Eve not to eat fruit from the tree of good and evil, but a serpent got Eve to do it and she got Adam to do it. God knew what they had done because it suddenly bothered them that they were naked, so he cursed the serpent, made childbearing painful for Eve, made Adam work for his food then banished them from Eden. Thereafter, man was mortal.
